A FULLY FUNDED ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
APPROPRIATING $3,175,000 FROM THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND AND OTHER RESERVES AND GRANTS
FOR THE COST THEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH
OF CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Borough of Carteret, in the County of
Middlesex, New Jersey, hereby authorizes the 2019
Various Capital Improvements and Acquisitions
together with all purposes necessary, incidental or
appurtenant thereto:
SECTION 2. For said improvements or purposes, there
is hereby appropriated the sum of $2,500,000 which
amounts are made available from the Capital
Improvement Fund, $300,000.00 from Reserve for Sewer
Improvements, and $375,000.00 from Capital Fund
Balance, and
SECTION 3. The Capital Budget of the Borough is
hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this
Ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency
herewith.
SECTION 4. The purposes described in Section 1
herein are not current expenses. These are all
Improvements that the Borough may lawfully undertake
as General Improvements, and no part of the costs
thereof has been or shall be specially assessed on
property specially benefited thereby.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect as
provided by Law.

A FULLY FUNDED ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
APPROPRIATING $3,175,000 FROM THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND AND OTHER RESERVES AND GRANTS
FOR THE COST THEREFOR
This ordinance authorizes 2019 Various Capital Improvements and
Acquisitions from the Capital Improvement Fund, Other Reserves
and Grants.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the
Council of the Borough of Carteret held May 16, 2019 when it was
adopted on first reading. The said ordinance will be further
considered on second reading for final adoption at a meeting of
said Council of the Borough of Carteret on June 6, 2019 at
approximately 6:00 P.M., Borough Hall /Council Chambers, 61 Cooke
Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey at which time and place all persons
interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.
