AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH JAMES P. DEADY, SURVEYOR, LLC
BOUNDARY, TOPOGRAPHIC/UTILITY SURVEY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services in regard to
boundary, topographic /utility surveys for numerous residential lots throughout the Borough; and
WHEREAS, James P. Deady, Surveyor, LLC, 295 Rt. 22 East, Whitehouse Station, New Jersey
08889, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, James P. Deady, Surveyor, LLC has submitted a proposal to provide said services
at a total cost not to exceed $2,700.00: and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the C Financial Office as c rtified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose. Acct.# 9- 01- 20 -1�� -2 4
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from James P. Deady, Surveyor, LLC for engineering
services in regard to boundary, topographic /utility surveys for
numerous residential properties: Block #301, Lots 3, 4 & 5 in the
Borough, at a total cost not to exceed $2,700.00 is hereby approved.
This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Director of
Engineering, Purchasing Department and James P. Deady, Surveyor,
LLC.
Adopted this 20'h day of June, 2019
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 21, 2019.

NOTICE OF CONTRACT AWARD
The Borough of Carteret has awarded a contract without
competitive bidding as a Professional Service pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40AA 1 -5 (1) (a). This contract and the resolution authorizing it are
available for public inspection in the Office of the Municipal Clerk.
This action is approved as an award of a Professional Serv-
ices Contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
