AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYING
AND ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
T &M ASSOCIATES, FEE ESTIMATE FOR EDWIN &
BERGEN STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized land surveying and engineering
services in connection with the Edwin & Bergen Street Drainage Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, T &M Associates, 11 Tindall Road, Middletown, New Jersey 07748, possesses the
requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, T &M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a total cost
not to exceed $14,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose. Account # 9 -01 -20 -165 -254
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from T &M Associates for engineering services related to the Edwin
& Bergen Street Drainage Improvements Project, at a total cost not to exceed
$14,500.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant
to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(])(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open
Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department,
the Borough Director of Engineering and T &M Associates.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 21, 2019.
