A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO HUSHMAND ASSOCIATES, INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT -TO-
EXCEED $24,980; FOR THE GEOTECHNICAL AND SOILS ENGINEERING STUDY
FOR THE SUBSIDENCE OF STATE STREET, NORTHBOUND AT CEDAR AVENUE;
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUND
TRANSFERS AND APPROPRIATIONS
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2014, the City Council authorized staff to send out
a Request for Proposal (RFP) for engineering consulting services to perform a
Geotechnical and soils engineering study on State Street at Cedar Avenue; and
WHEREAS, on January 14, 2015, staff advertised the ''RFP with IMS and on
City's website; and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2015, the City received Thirteen (13) RFPs from
Geotechnical firms listed below;

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department conducted interviews with six
Geotechnical Consulting firms regarding the Subsidence on State Street and Cedar
Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards the contract to Hushmand
Associates, Inc. at the negotiated price of not to exceed $24,980.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Hushmand Associates, Inc. in a form approved by the City
Attorney.
Section 3. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 4. That.this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
