corner braces can be omitted, if desired.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAIYED, that all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance be and the same are hereby appealed.

A special meeting of Coutil was today at 4: p.m. and was
attended by mayor Gamble who presided and. Councilmen Logan, Brooks
Horovitz and Town Attorney McIntyre.
The Mayor-called attention of Council to the splendid work done
by the convicts during the fire on the 21st and he suggested that
it be a good idea for a fund be gotten up for these men and suggested
that if such a fund be gotten up the Town donate 425.00 towards it,
mr. Logan made a motion that the mayors suggestion be adopted and
was seconded by mr. HoroviLz and the motion passed.
The Mayor auggested that a committee be aopointed to study the water
and sewage disposal on the island.

RE6,)LVJD, That a committee of three, with the mayor as an ex-officio
ultaber, be appointed by the mayor to consider the best method by
which the town of Savannah beach may secure a supply of water adequate
for fire protection for household purposes, and for prospective sanitary
sewage disposal; that said committee shall report at as early a date as
possible the plans which may be submitted, the cost thereof, and the 0
manner of financing same.
The Mayor appointed as this committee Aldermen Logan, Brooks and
Walthour.
A petition was read from J. C. Abrams requesting all of or a part 6f a
fine of -3100.00 against him, Logan made a motion that he not be refunded,
which was seconded by Mr. Btooks and the motion passed.
A petition was read by Walker for a refund of a fine of $100.00 assessed
against him and on motion of Mr. Logan that he not be refunded seconded
by Mr. Brooks and the motion passed.
A petition was presented by Shensky that he be refunded for a fine of
assessed against him and on motion of Mr. Logan seconded by Mr. Brooks
that he not be refunded and the motion passed..
The principal-and interest on the street and paving bonds amounting to
$6550.00 Will be due August 1st and on motion of Mr. Brooks that the
Treasurer be instructed to pay same seconded by Mr. Logan and the motion
passed.
The following resolution pertaining to the inspection of any building 0
to be used as a restaurant or a cook shop was introduced by Mr. Harovitz
seconded by Mr. Brooks and the motion passed.
RESOLTTION
RESOLVED, by the Mayor and. Aldermen of Savannah Beach in
Council assembled, that from and after this date before any building
or any portio thereof, can be used as a hotel, boardin house, restaurant,
or cook shop, the same shall be inspected by an authorized town official
and no business license shall be issued fbr same untill all equipment
has been passed favorably as to fire risks.
There being no further business Council adjourned subject to the call
of the Mayor.

In payments on notes are included payments in full of the casual deficiency notes of the
Liberty Bank & Trust Company, aggregating ;4,050.00, and reductions on other notes of
:,;4,272,76. Carryinc out this schedule of payments would require collection of all outstand-
ing. takes, and the borrowin; of nearly r ,,12,000, which is impossible. Last year on casual
deficiency loans the Town borrowed from the Liberty Bank & Trust Company xi 5,900; and from
