AUTHORIZTNG A PROFESSIONAL SERVI'CES CONTRACT WITH
ROBERT '1. BERGEN, ESQ.~ OF GILL & CHAMAS~ LLC AS THE
BOROUGH ATTORNEY FOR THE YEAR 2002
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, THAT
WHEREAS, on January 1, 2002, Robert ]. Bergen, Esq., of the Law Firm
of Gill & Chamas, LLC was appointed as Borough Attorney for the year
2002; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to have a contract document which spells out
the terms and conditions of the employment of the Borough Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Council,
Borough of Carteret, Counbf of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that the
attached Contract marked Exhibit "A", for the Legal services of Robert ].
Bergen, Esq., which provides for an initial authorization for legal services
not to exceed $75,000.00 be and hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute said Contract on behalf of the Borough of
Carteret.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this resolution and award
of contract shall be published as required by law.
