AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH MOTT MACDONALD FOR NJEIT FUNDING APPLICATION
BIDDING & ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE
ROOSEVELT AVENUE & BERGEN STREET PUMP STATION
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services with
regard to the NJEIT Funding Application and for bidding and engineering services during
construction on the Roosevelt Avenue & Bergen Street Pump Station Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, Mott MacDonald, possess the
requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Mott MacDonald has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services at a total cost not to exceed $50,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
That the proposal from Mott MacDonald for engineering
services related to the NJEIT Funding Application and for
bidding and engineering services during construction on the
Roosevelt Avenue & Bergen Street Pump Station
Improvements, in a total amount not to exceed $50,000.00
billable in accordance with Mott MacDonald's existing
contract with the Borough is hereby approved.
2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
That this action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) in
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized by law.
Adopted this 11' day of July, 2019
and certified as a true copy of the
original on July 12, 2019.
