10 The regular meeting of Council was held to-day at 4:00 p.m. and
Savannah Beach,Tybee Island,Ga. Erg
September 4,1931.

was attended by Mayor Gamble,who presided, and Councilmen Walthour,
Horovitz and Brooks and Logan.
On motion of Mr. Horovitz seconded by Mr. Brooks the reading of
the minutes of the past meetings was dispensed with.
On motion of Mr. Logan that all cancelled bonds and interest cou-
pons that have been paid on the Street Paving Bonds and Electric
Plant Bonds be destroged by the Finance Committee, this was seconded
by Mr. Hrorvitz and the motion passed.
Mr. E.B.Izlar protested against by stopped work on one of his cot-
tages,repairing a roof with roofing paper,not of fireproof mat-
erial, the opinion of Council was that he must comply with the
building instructions.
A letter was reed from Yr. J.J.Doolan protesting against the
lisc,nse asessed against him for doing business on the island.
A letter was read from Mrs. Edith Moses protesting the muzzling
of dogs on the island.
I.D.and. L.Weitz petitioned that they be allowed th, discount for
the payments of their taxes due for the year 1931, and on motion
f Mr. Horovitz that discount be allowedpeeconded by Mr. Brooks,
the motion passed.
Mr. C.M.Theus,attorney for Miss Ile. Perkins petitioned for a re-
fund for part of taxes paid for the year 1931 by Miss Perkins ,
her property having been destroyed by the fire on JuLy 21,1931,
the petition was refused.
The Mayor peeSented a financial statement showing the condition
of the Towns finances,as follows;

Te following resolution was introduced by Councilman Logan and
seconded by Counc lman Horovitz,the motion passed;
Be it rew;olved bybtha Mayor and Aldermen of the Town of
Savannah Beach, in council assernbled, that the Committee-on
Public Works be and the same are hereby authorized to call for
bids for the necessary creosited lumber to repair the jetty at
the head of Tilton Atreet, paymcn4 for same to be made by note
of the Town of Savannah Beach, with interest.
The :e being no further business Council adjourned subject to th
call of the Mayor.
