A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR
INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEERS TO CONTINUE THEIR WORK UNDER EXISTING
CONTRACT FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT DESIGN WORK AND RELATED
SERVICES FOR AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF TWELVE MONTHS ON A MONTH TO
MONTH BASIS TO COMPLETE THE WORK IDENTIFIED IN THE ORIGINAL
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, On January 6, 2015, City Council awarded a contract to
Infrastructure Engineers to provide design services for street improvements for Linden
Street, Virginia Avenue, Walnut Ave, Redwood Avenue, Elmwood Avenue, Olanda
Avenue, Virginia Avenue and Los Flores Boulevard in the amount of $265,920; and
WHEREAS, a considerable amount of design work on the identified projects
remains and a contract extension is necessary to complete the final design plans; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded by Measure R Fund, account No. 4011.67.006
which is more than adequate to cover the remaining design cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood extends the existing
contract with Infrastructure Engineers to the term of the May 6, 2015 contract for street
improvements design work and related services for an additional period of twelve
months on a month to month basis for the design of Linden Street, Virginia Avenue,
Walnut Ave, Redwood Avenue, Elmwood Avenue, Olanda Avenue, Virginia Avenue and
Los Flores Boulevard.

Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Infrastructure Engineers in a form approved by the City
A, ttorney.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution.
