A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) TO
SOLICIT BIDS FOR A CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR THE HAM PARK
COMMUNITY CENTER PROJECT
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2014, the City Council approved staff's
recommendation to proceed with the construction of the Ham Park Community Center
and to postpone the other components of Phase II and Phase III development due to
budget constraints; and
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2014, the City Council received a status report on
modification of plans and specifications for the Ham Park Community Center and
authorized the submittal of the plans for plan check; and
WHEREAS, the plan check has been completed and the project is ready for
construction; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting authorization to solicit construction bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes staff to issue a RFP for a Construction
Manager.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
