AWARDING BID FOR
ROOSEVELT AVENUE PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on December 18, 2001, the Borough of Carteret received six
(6) bids for the Replacement of Comminutors and Various Improvements
to the Roosevelt Avenue Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid for said contract was received from Standard
Industrial Services, ][nc. of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in the amount of
$154,400.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T&M
Associates, has reviewed said bids and recommended the award of the
Roosevelt Avenue Pump Station Improvements Contract to Standard
]Industrial Services, ][nc.; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that finds
are available for the award said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1.The bid of Standard Industrial Services, Inc., New Jersey,
in the amount of $154,400.00 for the Roosevelt Avenue Pump Station
Improvements Contract, No. OO-12 , in conformance with the contract bid
specifications and contract documents in all respects is hereby approved.
2.This award is contingent upon the review and approval of
the contract documents by the Borough Attorney, and the approval of the
NJ Department of Labor and Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
3.The Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the Borough.
