RESOLUTION NO. 2015 - 4
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE GREENCASTLE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission on March 18, 2015, reviewed
the Factual Report in Support of Findings Contained in Resolution 2015 -3 ( "Factual Report')
and the amended Economic Development Plan ("Plan') for the Greencastle Economic
Development Area; and,
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission adopted Resolution
2015 7 3, a. declaratory resolution to amend the Economic Development Plan of the Greencastle
Economic Development Area; and,
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Plan Commission passed Resolution 2015 -1 on March 31
2015, approving the amendments to the Plan and finding the Resolution and the Plan conform to
the plan of development for the City of Greencastle.
WHEREAS, IC 36- 7 -14 -16 and IC 36- 7 -14 -41 require that the Redevelopment
Commission submit the Resolution, the amended Plan, the Factual Report and supporting data to
the Greencastle Common Council: and.
WHEREAS, IC 36- 7 -14 -16 requires that the Greencastle Common Council determine
whether the Resolution and the amended Plan conform to the plan of development for the City of
Greencastle.
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council at its regularly scheduled meeting on
April 14, 2015, did review Resolution 2015 -3, the Factual Report, the amended Plan for the
Greencastle Economic Development Area, and Greencastle Plan Commission Resolution 2015-
1.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA THAT:
1. The Greencastle Plan Commission has previously reviewed and approved the Resolution,
the Factual Report, and the amended Plan as required by IC 36- 7- 14 -17.
2. The Resolution, Factual Report, and amended Economic Development Plan conform to
the plan of development for City of Greencastle and are in all respects approved and
confirmed.
The Resolution and amended Plan do not change the geographic area of the Greencastle
Economic Development Area or the allocation area.
A copy of this resolution be submitted to the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission.
5. This resolution shall be effective as of its date of adoption
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its regular meeting this
14th day of April, 2015.
