WHEREAS: The Area 30 Career Center offers programs to students in all of our county schools, as well as adults. WHEREAS: Several of their programs have a dramatic impact on specific technology and skills certification that help to fill local industrial workforce needs. WHEREAS: Area 30 has successfully secured four grants, and a significant donation of robots from Heartland Automotive, for the acquisition of equipment to enhance this teaching of their students. WHEREAS: The above mentioned successes have caused a significant increase in the electrical needs in the facility that Area 30 had not budgeted for. The Citizens' Advisory Commission for Industrial Development will donate $50,000 to Area 30 to cover the cost of the needed power upgrades at the facility. Passed and adopted by the Citizens' Advisory Commission for Industrial Development this 12` day of January, 2015.
