RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT IN SUP-
PORT OF PASSAGE OF CITY OF SUNNYVALE MEASURE
"C" AT THE NOVEMBER 5, 1974 GENERAL ELECTION
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING OPEN SPACE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sunnyvale has acknowl-
edged the rapid disappearance of the remaining open spaces
within its urban area, and
WHEREAS, as an important step in the furtherance of the preser-
vation of open space in the City of Sunnyvale, the City Council
has placed on the ballot at the November 5, 1974 general elec-
tion a measure for the issuance of up to $5,000,000 in bonds
for the acquisition and preservation of remaining open space
lands, and
WHEREAS, the Midpeninsula Regional Park District is supportive
of such efforts by local agencies to perserve significant open
space lands within urban areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Park District does resolve that the District does
support the Sunnyvale measure C on the ballot at the November
5, 1974 general election, and does urge the voters of the City
of Sunnyvale to cast an affirmative vote in favor thereof.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Park District on October 23 , 19 74
at a regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
