A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA; APPROVING,
CONFIRMING AND RATIFYING APPOINTMENTS TO THE
ART IN PUBLIC PLACES BOARD; PROVIDING FOR
IMPLEMENTATION; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to approve, confirm, and ratify appointments which
have been made to the Art in Public Places Board (the "Board") of the Village pursuant to Section
2-142 of the Village Code; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above stated recitals are hereby adopted and
confirmed.
Section 2. Appointments to Board.
A. That the appointment of Board members Dianne Moss, Lourdes Joffre Colette and
Frank Caplan for a one (1) year term which commences on November 6, 2007, and which shall
expire on November 4, 2008, is hereby approved, confirmed, and ratified.
B. That the appointment of Board members Rosa de la Cruz, Gloria Kahn, Joan
Matheson and Veronica Scharf -Garcia for a two (2) year term which commences on November 6,
2007 and expires on November 3, 2009, is hereby approved, confirmed, and ratified.
C. That the appointments made in paragraphs (A) and (B) above shall serve to
implement staggered terms of office as required by Village Code Section 2-142, pursuant to an
amending ordinance which is presently pending concerning Section 2-142.
D. That the previous constituency of the Board, from its inception and until the present
time, is hereby approved and confirmed.
E. That the Board's current members and their term of office are hereby summarized and
confirmed. as follows:

Section 3. Implementation. That the Village Clerk is authorized to take any action which
is necessary to implement the purposes of this resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
