HomeMy Public PortalAbout105-2004 - Grant - Parks - Widowed Persons - Partnership for aORDINANCE NO. 105-2004 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY WHEREAS, The Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that will be used by its Widowed Persons Service for addiction prevention education and related activities; and WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County. 2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1750.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall be appropriated to its Widowed Persons Service in order to help fund addiction prevention education and related activities.
