HomeMy Public PortalAbout69-111 ORDINANCE NO . 69-111 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON PRE- ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . The following described property within the area bounded by Avalon Bou evon the West, Victoria Street on the South, Central Avenue on the East and Northerly line of Southern California Edison Company right-of-way on the North as shown on Zoning Maps Nos. 4295 and 4288 shall be zoned as follows: To the R-2 6000 - Two Family Residence: Lots 1 through 106 in Tract 25491 Lots 1 through 164 in Tract 24268 Lots I through 3 - Parcel Map 2-10 Lots 1 through 3 in Tract 25767 Lots 1 through 8 - Parcel Map 1-91 Lots 1 through 146 in Tract 23924 Lots I through 74 in Tract 25837 Lots 1 through 51 in Tract 28669 Lots 83 through 93 in Tract 28669 That area bounded by the Southerly lot line of lot 132, Tract 23924 on the North, the Westerly right-of-way line of Lysander Drive on the East, the Northerly lot line of lot 131, Tract 23924 on the South, and the Easterly Tract lines, Tracts 25837 and 28669 on the West. To the R-3 - 18U - Limited Multiple Residence: Lots 52 through 82 in Tract 28669 That area bounded by a line 200 feet South of, and parallel to and equidistant from the centerline of Artesia Boulevard on the North, the Westerly right-of- way line of South Rainsbury Avenue on the East, a line commencing 150 feet Northerly of the intersection of the Northerly right-of-way line of Victoria Street and the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury Avenue; thence Westerly 100 feet; thence Northerly 150 feet; thence Westerly along a line 350 feet North of the centerline of East Victoria Street to the Easterly right-of-way line of Avalon Boulevard on the South; thence Northerly along the Easterly right-of-way line of Avalon Boulevard to a point for 1,350 feet plus or minus; thence Easterly 150 feet; thence North along a line 225 feet East of and parallel to the centerline of Avalon Boulevard to its intersection with a line 300 feet Southerly of and parallel to the centerline of East Artesia Boulevard; thence Easterly along said line to its intersection with the Westerly right-of-way line of Rainsbury Avenue; thence Southerly along said Westerly right-of-way line to the point of beginning. To the R-3 - 25U - Limited Multiple Residence: That area bounded by the Southerly lines of Tracts 28669 and 25837 on the North, the Westerly line of Tract 25837 on the East, the Northerly right-of-way line of East Victoria Street on the South and the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rains- bury Avenue on the West except for that portion as follows: Ord. No. 69-111/P.2 of 3 That area bounded by a line 150 feet North of and parallel to the Northerly right-of-way line of East Victoria Street on the North, a line 150 feet East of and parallel to the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury Avenue on the East, and the Northerly right-of-way line of East Victoria Street on the South, and the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury Avenue on the West. To the C-1 - Restricted Business: That area bounded by a line 150 feet North of and parallel to the Northerly right-of-way line of East Victoria Street on the North, a line 150 feet East of and parallel to the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury Avenue on the East, and the Northerly right-of-way line of East Victoria Street on the South, and the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury Avenue on the West. That area bounded by a line commencing 150 feet Northerly of the intersection of the Northerly right-of-way line of Victoria Street and the Easterly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury; thence Westerly 100 feet; thence Northerly 150 feet; thence Westerly 100 feet; thence Northerly 150 feet; thence Westerly along a line 350 feet North of and parallel to the centerline of East Victoria Street to the Easterly right-of-way line to the Northerly right-of-way line of East Victoria Street; thence Easterly along said Northerly right-of-way line to the point of beginning. That area bounded by a line 354 feet North of and parallel to the centerline of East Radbard Street on the North, the Westerly right-of-way line of Central Avenue on the East, a line 315 feet South of and parallel to the centerline of East Radbard Street on the South, and a line 210 feet West of and parallel to the centerline of Central Avenue on the West. That area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the Easterly right-of-way line of Avalon Boulevard and the Southerly right-of-way line of East Artesia Boulevard; thence Easterly along said Southerly right-of-way line to its intersection with the prolongation of the Westerly right-of-way line of South Rainsbury Avenue; thence Southerly along said prolongated right-of-way line for a distance of 250 feet; thence Westerly along a line 250 feet South of and parallel to the Southerly right- of-way line of East Artesia Boulevard for 1,200 feet plus or minus; thence Southerly along a line 150 feet East of and parallel to the Easterly right-of-way line at South Avalon Boulevard for 270 feet plus or minus; thence Westerly 150 feet to the Easterly right-of-way line of South Avalon Boulevard; thence Northerly to the point of beginning. To the RA-6000 - Residential Agriculture: That area bounded by the Northerly line of the Southern California Edison Company right-of-way on the North, the Westerly right-of-way line of Central Avenue on the East, the Southerly right-of-way line of the Southern California Edison Company on the South, and the Easterly right-of-way line of Avalon Boulevard on the West. To the M-2 - 20,000 (Heavy Manufacture) That area bounded by the Southerly line of the Southern California Edison Company rightrof-way on the North, by the Westerly right-of-way line of Central Avenue on the East, the Northerly right-of-way line of Artesia Boulevard on the South and a line 275 feet East of, and parallel and equidistant from the centerline of Avalon Boulevard on the West. To the M-1 - 20,000 (Light Manufacturing) That area bounded by the Southerly line of the Southern California Edison Company right-of-way on the North, a line 275 feet East of, and parallel and Ord. No. 69-111/P.3 of 3 equidistant from the centerline of Avalon Boulevard on the East, and the Northerly right- of-way line of Artesia Boulevard on the South, and the Easterly right-of-way line of Avalon Boulevard on the West. Section 2. The Zoning Map of the City of Carson as adopted by Section 9101 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing the boundaries thereof to include the area herein above described and by establishing the zoning classifi- cations of the areas within said boundaries as set forth above, and said Map shall have noted thereon "Amended to 27th day of February ". The Zoning Map of the City of Carson is hereby sup emented y Zoning Maps Nos. 4295 and 4288, copies of which shall be kept on file in the office of the Director of Planning. Section 3. Section 9101 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: 9101. Adoption of Zoning Map. That certain Zoning Map on file in the office of the Director of Panning in t e City Hall of the City of Carson, existing and in effect on May 7, 1968, and as amended on February 27, 1970 is hereby adopted as the Zoning Map. Section 4. Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 65859, this Ordinance s a e effective on the date that Carson Annexation No. 2 becomes effective. Section 5. The City Clerk is directed to enter the effective date of this Ordinance in the appropriate space in both Sections 2 and 3 hereinabove.
