HomeMy Public PortalAbout71-175 ORDINANCE NO. 71-175 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON CHANGING THE ZONE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE - AREA MAP NO. 4284 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . The following described property within the area bounded by E. Alondra Boulevard on the north, the easterly line of Tract 22702 on the east, the easterly prolongation of the southerly right of way line of 168th Street to the Compton city limits and the Compton city limits to the easterly line of Tract 22702 on the south, and S. Avalon Boulevard on the west as shown on Zoning Map No. 4284 shall be zoned as follows: To the R-A, 6,000 Residential Agriculture Zone: That area included in the right of way of the Los Angeles City Department of Water and Power. To the R-1 Single Family Residence Zone: Lots 2 through 25 Tract 28372, Lots 1 through 80 Tract 27737, Lots 1 through 70 Tract 22702, and That area enclosed by the northerly extension of the westerly line of Lot 6 Tract 28372 and the westerly extension of the north line of Lot 5 Tract 28372 and the northerly line of Lot 6 Tract 28372 and the westerly I ine of Lot 5 Tract 28372, and That area bounded by the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of Tract 27737 to its intersection with the southwest corner of Lot 6 Tract 28372, the southerly line of Lots 6 through 10 Tract 28372 on the north, the westerly right of way line of South Haskins Lane on the east, the northerly line of Lots 30, 37, 38 and 39 Tract 27737 on the south. To the C-1 Restricted Business Zone: Lot 1 of Tract 28372 , and That area bounded by the southerly right of way line of E. Alondra Boulevard on the north, the westerly right of way line of S. Haskins Lane on the east, the northerly line of Tract 28372 and the westerly extension of said line for a distance of 77 feet plus or minus on the south, thence northerly along the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 6 Tract 28372 to the southerly right of way line of E. Alondra Boulevard. To the MPD - Manufacturing Planned Development Zone: That area bounded by S. Avalon Boulevard on the northwest, S. San Pedro Street onthe east, E. 168th Street on the south. To the M-2 Heavy Manufacturing Zone: That area bounded by E. Alondra Boulevard on the north, the westerly line and northerly prolongations thereof of Tract 27737 and Tract 28372 and the Carson city limits on the east, the southerly right of way line of E. 168th Street and its easterly prolongation to the E. Carson city limits on the South, S. San Pedro Street and S. Avalon Boulevard on the west, except for the area hereinafter described and zoned B-1 (Buffer Strip), as shown on said Area Map 4284. Ord. No. 71-175/Page 2 of 3 To the M-2 Heavy Manufacturing Zone: That area bounded by E. Alondra Boulevard on the north, the westerly line and northerly pro- longations thereof of Tract 27737 and Tract 28372 and the Carson city limits on the east, the southerly right of way line of E. 168th Street and its easterly prolongation to the E. Carson city limits on the south, S. San Pedro Street and S. Avalon Boulevard on the west except for the - area hereinafter described and zoned B-1 (Buffer Strip), as shown on said Area Map No. 4284. To the B-1 Buffer Strip Zone: That area bounded by line commencing at the intersection of the centerline of S. Avalon Boulevard and E. Alondra Boulevard,, thence easterly along the centerline of E. Alondra Boulevard for a distance of 832 feet plus or minus, thence southerly along the northerly prolongation of the westerly lines of Tract 28372 and Tract 27737, thence along the southerly projection of the westerly line of Tract 27737 to the easterly prolongation of the southerly right of way line of E. 168th Street, thence westerly along said line for a distance of 50 feet plus or minus, thence northerly along a line equidistant from and parallel to the westerly lines of Tracts 27737 and Tract 28372 to a line 100 feet plus or minus from, parallel and equidistant to the centerline of E. Alondra Boulevard, thence westerly along said line to a line 100 feet plus or minus from, parallel and equidistant to the centerline of S. Avalon Boulevard, thence southerly along said line to the centerline of Gardena Boulevard, thence westerly 100 feet plus or minus along said line to the centerline of S. Avalon Boulevard, thence northerly along said centerline to the point of beginning; and That area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the centerline of S. San Pedro Street and E. Gardena Boulevard, thence southerly along the centerline of S. San Pedro Street to its intersection with the prolongation of the southerly right of way line of E. 168th Street; thence easterly along said line for 80 feet plus or minus, thence northerly along a line 80 feet from, parallel and equidistant to the centerline of S. San Pedro Street to its intersection with the centerline of E. Gardena Boulevard, thence westerly along said centerline to the point of beginning, as shown on said Area Map 4284. Section 2. The Zoning Map of the City of Carson as adopted by Section 9101 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing the classifications of the areas hereinabove described to the zoning classifications set forth in this ordinance and said Map shall have noted thereon, "Amended to this 5th day of August , 1971 ." The Zoning Map of the City of Carson is hereby supplemented by Zoning Map No. 4284, a copy of which will be kept on file in the office of the Director of Community Development. Section 3. Section 9101 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: "9101 . Adoption of Zoning Map. That certain zoning map on file in the office of the Director 7-Community Deve opment in t e City Hall of the City of Carson, existing and in effect on January 22, 1%9, and as amended to August 5, 1971 is hereby adopted as the Zoning Map." Section 4. The City Clerk is directed to enter the effective date of this ordinance in the appropriate space in both Sections 2 and 3 above.
