AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON PROVIDING
FOR THE PAYMENT OF DEMANDS CERTIFIED AS CONFORMING
TO A BUDGET APPROVED BY ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION
AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY ORDAINS:
to read: Section 1 . Section 2504.2 of the Carson Municipal Code is amended
°2504.2 Payroll and Budgeted Demands.
Payrol I warrants for officers and emp oyees whose compensation has been
previously fixed by the City Council need not be audited by the City Council
prior to payment. Payrolls shall be presented to the City Council for ratification
and approval at its first meeting after delivery of the payroll warrants.
Warrants drawn in payment of demands certified or approved by the
Director of Finance as conforming to a budget approved by ordinance or resolution
of the City Council need not be audited by the City Council prior to payment.
Budgeted demands paid by warrant prior to audit by the City Council shall be
stated on the register of demands separately from unpaid demands, and shall be
presented to the City Council for ratification and approval at its first meeting
after delivery of the warrants. "
