HomeMy Public PortalAbout72-229 ORDINANCE NO. 72-229 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON CREATING A SPECIAL FUND FOR THE ACQUISITION'OF PROPERTY FOR PARKS, AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section I . The Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended by adopting Sections 2525 to_752$,-inclusive, to read: 2525. Park Acquisition Fund, Creation of. A special fund is hereby created for the purpose o-TTepositing therein monies to be use or the purpose of acquiring property, including rights of way for park purposes, and for use of such funds for such purposes. Said fund shall be known and designated as the Park Acquisition Fund. 2526. Park Acquisition Fund - Revenues. All monies received by the City from subdividerspursuant tote provisions of Section of the Carson Municipal Code and Sections 179 to 189, inclusive, of the Subdivision Ordinance adopted thereby, shall be deposited in said Fund. 2527. Park Acquisition Fund - Expenditures. Expenditures from said Fund shall be made only for—tsie acquisition of and, including rig is o way, for the establishment of parks in areas of park deficiency in accordance with the standards established by the City Council, subject to the limitations set forth in Section 189 of the Subdivision Ordinance and such limita- tions as may be provided bylaw. 2528. Park Acquisition Fund - Budget. Monies deposited in said Fund shall be earmarked within said Fund for use exclusively for t e purposes provided for in Section 2527. Before expenditures are made from such Fund, all such expenditures shall be budgeted in accordance with Article 11, Chapter 5 of the Carson Municipal Code and such other procedures as may be adopted by the City Council.
