AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 72-240 REGARDING REAL ESTATE
SOLICITATION AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL
CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I . Ordinance No. 72-240 of the City of Carson adopted November
6, 1972, and the Carson Municipal Code are hereby amended by amending Section 4414 of
the Carson Municipal Code adopted by said ordinance, to read as follows:
"4414. Real Estate Solicitation. It shall be unlawful for any person
offering or soliciting to buy, sell, exchange, lease, rent or list any real property
in the course of, or as an incident to or part of such person's business, occupation,
trade or employment to go upon, ring the doorbell of, or knock on the door of or
attempt to gain admittance to any occupied residence, dwelling or apartment
within the City unless prior to such entry, doorbell ringing, knocking or attempt
to gain admittance such person has been requested or invited by the owner or
adult occupant of such premises to enter or be upon such premises for such purpose. "

1, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby certify
that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing
ordinance, being Ordinance No. 72-250, passed first reading on December 4, 1972, was duly
and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council,
duly and regularly held on the 18th day of December, 1972 and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Calas, Smith, Yamamoto & Marbut.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
