AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE REGARDING
EXTERIOR LIGHTING AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL
CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I . The Zoning Ordinance and the Carson Municipal Code are hereby
amended by adding Section 9`F41 to the Carson Municipal Code to read:
Section 9141 . Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 9100,the Zoning
Ordinance is her eby amended by adding Section 700 to read:
Section 700. EXTERIOR LIGHTING.
All lighting of buildings, landscaping, parking lots and other
similar facilities shall be directed away from all adjoining
or nearby residential property. Such lighting shall be arranged
and controlled so as not to create a nuisance or hazard either to
traffic or the living environment. This section shall also be
applicable to arc lights, search lights, and other similar lighting
devices.
Section 2. Ordinance 73-269 passed by the City Council September 17, 1973
is amended by c—aging the Carson Municipal Code Section added by said Ordinance from
9137 to 9138.
Section 3. Ordinance 73-270, passed by the City Council on September 17,
1973, is amen etc by�cianging the Carson Municipal'Code Section added by said Ordinance
from 9138 to 9139.

1974, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of
said Council, duly and regularly held on the 21st day of January 1974, and that
