AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 74-295 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF AMENDING THE REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO . 2.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . On February 19, 1974, this City Council adotped Ordinance
No. 74-295 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON APPROVING AND
ADOPTING A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO . 2 IN THE CITY OF
CARSON, AS THE OFFICIAL REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR SUCH PROJECT AREA."
Section 2. It has become necessary and desirable to amend said
Ordinance No. 74--2-9-5--inorder to adopt Amendment No. 1 to the Redevelopment Plan
for Project Area No. 2.
Section 3. The Carson Redevelopment Agency has prepared and approved
Amendment No. 1 tote Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 2 and has recommended
that the City Council approve and adopt said Amendment. The Planning Commission of the
City of Carson has submitted its report and recommendation, recommending approval of
said Amendment. Tke Redevelopment Agency has consulted with and obtained the advice of
the Project Area Committee which exists within said project area with respect to the
proposed Amendemnt.
Section 4. A joint public hearing has been duly noticed and held by
the Agency and City Council pursuant to law, and the Agency and Council have received
written and photographic evidence and oral testimony concerning the proposed amendment
to Project Area No. 2 and have duly considered all thereof and the above reports and
recommendations. All objections to the proposed amendment were heard and passed upon
by the City Council and all proceedings relating to the proposed amendment of said
Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 2 have been duly conducted and completed as
provided by law.
Section 5. It is hereby determined that Amendment No. 1 to the
Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 2, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Carson, and hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof, is necessary and
desirable and is hereby adopted. `

Section 6. Ordinance No. 74-295 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF CARSON APPROVING AND ADOPTING A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR
PROJECT AREA NO . 2 IN THE CITY OF CARSON, AS THE OFFICIAL REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR SUCH PROJECT AREA" is hereby amended to add Sections 15 and 16, to
read as follows:
"Section 15. Section III of the Redevelopment Plan for Project
Area No. 2 is h ereby amended by adding to Parcel 1 of the Map of the
Project Area and to the legal description of the boundaries of Parcel 1 i
of said Project Area, the property described in the legal description
contained inlaid Amendment No. 1 of Project Area No. 2. Said legal
description is hereby incorporated herein by reference and made a part
hereof as if fully set forth at length herein.
"Section 16. The Redevelopment Plan forProject Area No. 2 is
hereby amended by adding thereto Amendment No. 1 to Project Area
No. 2 on file in the office of the City Clerk and incorporated in this
ordinance by reference and made a part hereof. Said amendment shall
be designated as Section XI of said Plan."
Section 7. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this
Ordinance, a description of the land within Project Area No. 2, as amended by Amendment
No. 1, a copy of Ordinance No. 74-295, and a map or plat indicating the boundaries of
Project Area No. 2 as amended hereby, to the Auditor and Tax Assessor of the County of
Ord. No. 74-324/Page 2
Los Angeles, and to the governing body of Bach of the taxing agencies which levies taxes
upon any property in Project Area No. 2, as amended, and to the State Board of Equal-
ization . Said documents shall be transmitted as promptly as practicable following the
adoption of this Ordinance but in any event before January 1st next following the adoption
of this Ordinance.

Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance
and shall cause the same to be published once,.-> in the Carson Star and to be posted in three
public places within the City of Carson designated for the posting of official notices.

that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 74-324, passed first reading on
December 16 , 1974, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
said City at a regu ar meeting of said Councils-duly and regularly held on the 20th
day of January, 1975 and that the same was so passed and adopted by tg —
following roll call vote:
