AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON REGULATING
AUTOMOBILE DISMANTLING AND JUNK AND SALVAGE
YARD USES AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I . Notwithstanding any other provision of the Carson Municipal
Code, no dismant ing or junk and salvage yard use of any property in the City of Carson is
permitted without a valid special use permit issued pursuant to Chapter 8, Article I of the
Carson Zoning Ordinance.
Section 2. The Planning Commission of the City of Carson and the City
Council will unde-Wa—studies with reference to the regulation of dismantling or junk
and salvage yard uses within the City. Pending the completion of such studies and in
order to prevent during such period the development of properties in a manner incompati-
ble with zoning regulations and such regulations as may be proposed by the City, it is
necessary and desirable that no such uses be permitted in the City without a valid special
use permit issued pursuant to Chapter 8, Article I of the Carson Zoning Ordinance. This
Ordinance is therefore declared to be an interim zoning ordinance and urgency ordinance y
necessary for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City
of Carson and shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 75-334U, was duly adopted by the
City Council of said City on an urgency basis at a regular meeting of said Council, duly
and regularly held on the 17th day of March, 1975, and that the same was so passed
and adopted by the following roll call .vote:
