AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON REGULA-
TING STREET USE BY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES, AND
AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Section 3205 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section 3209 of-the Carson Municipal Code is amended to read
as follows:
3209. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3200 of the Carson Muni-
cipal Code, the Traffic Code of the City of Carson is hereby amended by adding thereto a
section numbered 3205.8 to read as follows:
Section 3205.8. The parking of any vehicle having a gross weight of
more than 6,000 lbs., a length of more than 25 feet, or a width of more
than 96 inches in total outside width (vehicle or load, or a combination
of both), laden or unladen, is prohibited on any street in the City of
Carson except on those streets listed in Section 3251 of the Carson
Municipal Code at locations where posted by the Director of Public
Works as directed by the City Council that parking is permitted.
Such vehicles are prohibited from parking in posted locations for
periods longer than indicated on the sign in such location. Where
parking is permitted overnight, illuminated clearance lights or visible
safety reflectors under State of California Vehicle Code, Sections
24607, 24608, 24609, 24610 are required.
This section shall not prohibit the parking of such vehicles while
loading or unloading or used in the performance of a service on or to
a property in the block in which such vehicle is parked for such time
as is reasonably required to complete such loading, unloading, or
service, nor shall it prohibit the parking or require the lighting of
recreational vehicles which are privately owned and operated and not
held for the purpose of sale or hire.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 75-351, passed first reading on
August 18, 1975 , was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said
City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 15th day of
September _ 1975, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
