AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON
DESIGNATING THE ADDRESS OF THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY OFFICES AND ADDITIONAL
POSTING LOCATION, AMENDING THE CARSON
MUNICIPAL CODE AND DECLARING THE URGENCY
THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Article II of the Carson Municipal Code is amended by
amending Sectioned 2401 of Chapter 4 by deleting therefrom the words and figures;
21919 South Avalon Boulevard
and substituting therefore the words and figures;
701 East Carson Street.
Section 2. Section 2802 of Chapter 8 of Article If of the Carson Municipal
Code is amended o r�t ea?c :-
"2802. Additional Posting Location. The City Clerk shall post all ordinances,
resolutions or notices adopted or issued by the City on the Bulletin Board provided for such
purpose in the City offices located at 701 East Carson Street, Carson, California. Such
posting location is for the purpose of public convenience and is in addition to the official
public places for the posting of notices designated in Section 2800 of this Code in accordance
with the provisions of Section 36933 of the Government Code."
Section 3. The City Hall offices and Council Chambers will be moved,
commencing July l— 0 —Mi from their present location to 701 East Carson Street. The City
Hall offices will be open for transaction of the public business and the posting of notices at
the new address on Monday, July 12, 1976, and the City Council will convene in the
Council Chambers at said address on July 19, 1976. Actions taken by the City Council and
services performed in the City offices are necessary for the public peace, health, safety
and welfare, and it is necessary for persons affected by City actions to know the location of
the City Hall. This ordinance is therefore necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety and shall be effective immediately upon adoption and
operative on July 12, 1976.

City Council of said City on an urgency basis at a regular meeting of said Council, duly
and regularly held on the 6th day of Sul 1976, and that the same was
