AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON CHANGING
THE ZONE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING THE
CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE (ZONE CHANGE CASE NO.
52-76)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The following described property in the City of Carson is hereby
classified and zoned to the MPD (Manufacturing Planned Development) zoned districtz
Parcel I .
That portion of Lot 13, South Gardena Tract, in the City of Carson,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map recorded
in Book 43, Page 39, of Miscellaneous Records in the office of Recorder
of said County, with the following described boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Broadway and
northerly line of Artesia Boulevard, thence northeasterly along the
easterly line of Broadway, a distance of 142 feet more or less, thence
easterly, a distance of 803.90 feet more or less to a point in the
westerly line of Main Street, 137 feet more or less from the inter-
section of westerly line of Main Street and northerly line of Artesia
Boulevard, thence southerly 137 feet more or less to said point of
intersection of the westerly line of Main Street and northerly line
of Artesia Boulevard, thence westerly along the northerly line of
Artesia Boulevard to the point of beginning.
Parcel 2.
That portion of Lot 12, South Gardena Tract, in the City of Carson,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map recorded
in Book 43, Page 39, of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the
Recorder of said County within the following described boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of South Broadway
and southerly line of Artesia Freeway, thence S 870 11' 21" E, a
distance of 515 feet more or less, thence southerly along the easterly
boundary line of said portion of Lot 12 to its intersection with the
northerly line of Lot 9, property of Southern California Edison
Company, thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 9
to its intersection with the easterly line of South Broadway, thence
northerly along the easterly line of South Broadway 65 feet more or
less to the point of beginning.
Parcel 3.
That portion of Lot 6, South Gardena Tract, in the City of Carson,
State of California, as shown on map recorded in Book 43, Page 39,
of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of said County,
with the following described boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of easterly line of South Main Street and
the southerly line of that portion of Lot 12, property of Southern Cali-
fornia Edison Company, thence easterly along the northerly line of
said portion of Lot 6, a distance of 595.06 feet, thence S 520 03' 32"
E 88.48 feet, thence S 40 53' 50!' East 82.62 feet, thence S 870 010
14" W 645.17 feet, thence N 440 37' 18" W 37.59 feet, thence
northerly along the easterly line of South Main Street 138.15 feet
to the point of beginning.

Section 2. The zoning map of the City of Carson as adopted by Section 9101
of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing the classification of the property
hereinabove described to MPD (Manufacturing Planned Development) and said map shall have
noted thereon "amended to 1976."
Section 3. The following described property in the City of Carson is hereby
classified and zoned tote CPD (Commercial Planned Development) zoned district:
Parcel 1 .
That portion of the 504.19 acre parcel of land allotted to J. G.
Downey, in the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as shown in Partition Map of the Rancho San Pedro,
filed in Case No. 939, of the Superior Court of the State of
California for the County of Los Angeles, within the following
described boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Avalon Boule-
vard (120 feet wide) and the southerly line of Artesia Freeway.
Thence S 800 32' 21"W 378.18 feet
Thence S 770 45' 02"W 124.13 feet
Thence N 740 55' 57"W 11 .01 feet
Thence S 870 41' 23"W 31 .26 feet
Thence S 650 16' 12"W 26.93 feet
Thence S 00 14' 59" E 18.35 feet
Thence S 400 39' 52" W 145.51 feet
Thence S 60 17' 41" E 136.24 feet
Thence S 770 14' 55 11E 49.54 feet
Thence N 820 43' 03" E 448.44 feet
Thence N 220 49' 53" E 26.89 feet

to the point of beginning.
Parcel 2.
Lot 3, of parcel map, in the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as shown in map filed in Book 53, Page 59 of
parcel maps-in the office of the Recorder of said County, containing
an area of 6.93 acres more or less.
Section 4. The zoning map of the City of Carson as adopted by Section 9101
of the Carson MunicipaTCode is hereby amended by changing the classification of the property
hereinabove described to CPD (Commercial Planned Development) and said map shall have noted
thereon "amended to , 1976."
Section 5. The following described property in the City of Carson is hereby
classified and zoned to the OS (Open Space) zoned district:
Lot 5 of parcel map, in the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as shown in map filed in Book 53, Page 59 of
parcel maps, in the office of the Recorder of said County, containing
an area of 0.42 acres.
Section 6. The zonirrg map of the City of Carson as adopted by Section 9101
of the Carson MunicipaTCode is hereby amended by changing the classification of the property
hereinabove described to OS (Open Space) and said map shall have noted thereon "amended
to 1976.11
Section 7. The City Clerk is directed to enter the date of adoption of this
ordinance in the appropriate space in Sections 2, 4, and 6 hereinabove.

that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 76-377, passed first reading on
August 2, 1976 , was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
said City at a regu ar meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 16th day
of August , 1976, and that the same was so passed and adopte�y the
following roll call vote:
