ORDINANCE NO. 79-492
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON GRANTING
A WATER PIPELINE FRANCHISE TO DOMINGUEZ
WATER CORPORATION
The City Council of the City of Carson does
ordain as follows:
Section 1 . A franchise is hereby granted to
Dominguez Water Corporation, a California corporation, to
construct from time to time and to install, operate.,
maintain, replace, change the size of, abandon in place
and/or remove pipelines for the transportation of water,
together with all appurtenances and service connections
necessary or convenient to properly maintain and operate
pipelines, and also including appurtenances and equipment
for power and communication lines necessary or convenient
for the Grantee 's business.
Section 2 . The installation or operation of
pipelines or other facilities pursuant to this franchise
shall be limited to those certain streets,. highways, roads,
alleys and other public places dedicated to public use shown
on Exhibit A attached hereto.
Section 3 . This franchise is granted. for a term
of 25 years from and after the date upon which the franchise
shall become effective and shall be subject to the terms and
conditions prescribed under Article VI , Chapter 8, of the
Carson Municipal Code, which is incorporated herein by
this reference.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of
October , 1979 .

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 79-492, passed first reading on
September 19, 1979, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City
at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 3rd day of
October 1979, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Council Members: Bridgers, Yamamoto and Colas
NOES: Council Members: None
ABSTAIN: Council Members: None
ABSENT: Council Members: Marbut and Smith
