A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A. CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR MR.
WILLIAM STRACKER OF D R CONSULTANTS AND DESIGNERS INC. TO SERVE
AS INTERIM DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS /CITY ENGINEER ON A MONTH TO
MONTH BASIS FOR NOT MORE THAN TWELVE MONTHS BEYOND THE
CURRENT CONTRACT EXPIRATION DATE
WHEREAS, on October 7, 2014, City Council awarded a contract to Mr. William
Stracker of D R Consultants and Designers Inc. to Serve as Interim Director of Public
Works/ City Engineer to oversee the day to day operations of the Public Works
Department; and
WHEREAS, the current contract with Mr. William Stracker will expire on April 6,
2015; and
WHEREAS, staff is seeking Council's approval to extend the current contract for
a period of thirty days at no additional cost to the City to allow for the City and
consultant to meet and discuss the agreement and plan for possible extension and /or
modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the contract extension for Mr. William
Stracker of D R Consultants and Designers Inc. on a month to month basis for not more
than twelve months beyond the current contract expiration date.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the contract extension on a
form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That the City Council approves the following appropriation and
continued use of an existing Purchase Order 06- 005591:

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
