A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL
BOARD IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $21,319.68 FOR THE REGULATORY
OVERSIGHT OF LYNWOOD'S PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the State Water Resources Control Board ( SWRCB) has regulatory
oversight over the State's water resources and drinking water for the protection of the
environment, public health, and all beneficial users and to ensure proper water resource
allocation; and
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 116565(a) requires each
water system serving 1,000 or more service connections to reimburse the State Water
Resources Control Board for the actual cost incurred for conducting those activities
mandated by California Health and Safety Code relating to the issuance of domestic
water supply permits, inspections, monitoring, surveillance, and water quality
evaluations that relate to that specific public water system; and
WHEREAS, SWRCB submitted an estimated cost invoice in the amount of
$21,319.68 for activities relating to permitting, inspections and investigations,
compliance, monitoring, compliance tracking, and monitoring data review.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorize the payment of Invoice LW-
1000192 issued by SWRCB in April 2015 in an amount not to exceed $21,319.68.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 26th day of May, 2015.
