AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON
MODIFYING THE COMPOSITION OF THE HUMAN
RESOURCES COMMITTEE AND AMENDING THE
CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
The City Council of the City of Carson does ordain:
Section 1 . Sections 2762 and 2764 of Chapter 7, Article II of the
Carson Municipal Code are amended to read:
2762. Members. The Human Resources Committee shall consist of nine
members who represent all ethnic groups and interests within the City to
be appointed by and each of whom shall serve at the pleasure of the City
Council . Subject to the provisions of this Section, three appointments to
the Committee shall be made each year, with each appointment being for a
term of three years. The term of office for each Committee member shall
continue to and including June 30 of the year in which said term shall
expire, and thereafter until a successor for the Committee member whose
term is expiring has been appointed. Should any vacancy exist on the Human
Resources Committee, an appointment shall be made in like manner for the
unexpired portion of the term.
2764. Meetings. The Human Resources Committee shall hold at least
one regular meeting in each month at such time and date as designated in
the rules and regulations of the Committee. The Committee shall further
determine and provide in its rules and regulations the manner in which
special meetings may be held and the notice to be given of such meetings.
Five members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum. The Committee
may hold its meeting in the Council Chambers or in such other suitable
place as the Committee may designate. All meetings of the Committee
shall be open to the public.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City
is five; that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 81-581 passed first
reading on December 7, 1981 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
21st day of December, 1981 and that the same was passed and adopted by the
following roll call vote:
