AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND
BUSINESS LICENSE ORDINANCE RELATING
TO CHILD DAY CARE AND AMENDING THE
CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Article IX of the Carson Municipal Code
is amended by amending Section 9122.5 of Division 2 , Part 2
to read:
Section 9122 . 5 Child Day Care
Day care for children may be provided
as an accessory use in connection with
each dwelling unit, subject to the follow-
ing limits :
Single-family dwelling: not more than
6 children .exclusive of the children of the
resident family; with an assistant caregiver
present, not more than 12 children, includ-
ing children of the resident family and of
the assistant caregiver.
Multiple dwelling unit: not more than
3 children including children of the resident
family.
Section 2. Section 6365 . 27 of Part 3, Chapter 3,
Article VI of the Carson Municipal Code is amended to read:
Section 6365 .27 Child Care and Day Nursery
For day nursery, private kindergarten,
private school, special child care center,
excluding state licensed foster homes and
family day care homes in residential zones;
Six or fewer children $15 . 00
Seven or more children $30 . 00
