AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON
REGULATING PARKING ON CITY STREETS
AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sections 3201 and 3202 of Chapter 2,
Article III of the Carson Municipal Code are amended to read:
3201. Removal of vehicles. The Sheriff shall
remove to a safe place every vehicle which has been parked
or left standing upon a street or alley for seventy-two (72)
or more consecutive hours without being moved under its own
power more than one block.
3202. Definitions . As used in this Chapter, unless
the context otherwise clearly indicates, the following words
and phrases are defined as follows :
A. "Block" means property facing both sides of
any street, between two intersecting streets or between the
terminus of a dedicated right-of-way of a street and an inter-
secting street. In the case of an alley, "block" means prop-
erty facing both sides of any alley between two intersecting
streets or alleys, or between the terminus of an alley and an
intersecting street or alley. Where a "block" exceeds 1,000
feet in length, a length of frontage of 1, 000 feet constitutes
a "block" as used in this Chapter.
B. Safe Place "- Definition of. As used in this
Chapter the words "Safe Place" include, but are not confined
to, any garage, parking lot, or open space, owned by, main-
tained by, or under the jurisdiction of the City of Carson,
and also every privately owned garage the owner or proprietor
of which will accept such vehicles.
Section 2. Section 4510 of Part 1, Chapter 5 ,
Article IV of the Carson Municipal Code is amended by adding
Subsection (f) thereto to read:
4510. Definitions .

(f) The term "City Administrator" means the City
Administrator or the person designated in writing by the City
Administrator to act in the City Administrator ' s place.

Section 3. Subsection (d) of Section 4512 of
Part 1, Chapter, Article IV of the Carson Municipal Code is
hereby repealed.

day, of March , 19 84 , and that the same was passed and adopted by the
