AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON AMENDING
THE PURCHASING ORDINANCE AND AMENDING THE
CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Section 2604 of Chapter 6, Article II
of the Carson Municipal Code, which provides exceptions to
bidding requirements for purchases of supplies and materials,
is amended by amending subsections (a) and (c) and adding
subsection (d) to read:
(a) The City Administrator finds, with the con-
currence of the City Council, that such supplies or equipment
are unique because of their quality, durability, availability,
or fitness for a particular use and .are available from one
source, or, if available from more than one source, can be
purchased from the manufacturer for a lower price; or
(c) When the amount of the purchase is less than
$500 . 00; or
(d) The City Council finds that due to the
nature of the supplies of equipment, biz'ding is not likely
to result in the lowest price .
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED the 17th day of
February 1987 .

four; that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 87-775 passed first reading
on February 2, 1987, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said
City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 17th
day of Febr6ary;."1987 , and that the same was passed and adopted by the following
roll call vote:
