HomeMy Public PortalAbout87-789 ORDINANCE NO. 87-789 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON ESTABLISHING QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. Chapter 1 of Article 11 of the Carson Municipal Code is amended by amending Section 2101 to read: 2101. Eligibility The City Administrator shall, at minimum, have the following qualifications: A. A college degree in Public Administration or related field; and B. Five years' experience as a City Administrator, City Manager or Chief Executive Officer of a County. No person elected to membership on the City Council shall, subsequent to such election, be eligible for appointment as City Administrator of the City of Carson until one year has elapsed after such person has ceased to be a member of the City Council.
