AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON RELATING
TO THE PERSONNEL SYSTEM AND AMENDING THE
CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1 . Section 2903 of Chapter 91 Article II, of
the Carson Municipal Code is amended by amending subparagraph
(g) to read:
(g) City Administrator; Deputy City Administrator;
Section 2. Section 2905 of Chapter 9 , Article II of
the Carson Municipal Code is amended to read:
2905 . Appointments_. Appointments, demotions ,
dismissals, reductions in pay, suspensions or other actions
regarding an employee shall be made in accordance with the
Personnel Rules except as to those persons listed in Section
2903. The Deputy City Administrator and persons holding those
positions listed in Section 2903, subsection (h) shall serve
the City at the pleasure of the City Administrator and such
persons may be discharged, demoted or otherwise disciplined
without notice, hearing or stated cause.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED the 3rd day of
August 1987 .

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 87-805 passed first reading
on July 20, 1987 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at
a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 3rd day of August,
1987, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:

NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Muise
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
