AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON RELATING TO THE POWERS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR
AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Subsection 2 of Section 2107 , Chapter 1, Article II,
of the Carson Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
2. Departments and Employees.
A. To control, order, give directions to, appoint,
promote, discipline and demote or remove all heads
of departments , except the City Clerk, the City
Attorney, and the City Treasurer, and all subordinate
officers and employees of the City; to recommend to
the City Council the transfer of employees from one
department to another; and to consolidate or combine
offices, positions, departments or units under his
jurisdiction.
B. The City Administrator, upon written request from a
City employee, may authorize transfer of said employee
from one department to another provided both department
directors consent to the transfer.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 87-816 passed first reading
on December 1, 1987, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said
City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th
day, of December , 19 87 , and that the same was passed and adopted by the
following roll call vote:
