AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON CHANGING THE
ZONE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING THE CARSON
MUNICIPAL CODE (ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. 105-88)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That certain property in the City of Carson described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto is hereby classified and zoned from the MH (Manufacturing Heavy)
to the MH-D (Manufacturing Heavy-Design Overlay) zoned district.
Section 2. The Zoning Map of the City of Carson as adopted by Section
9114.1 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing the classification
of the property referred to in Section 1 to MH-D (Manufacturing Heavy-Design Overlay)
and said map shall have noted thereon "Amended to September 24 1988.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to enter the date of adoption of
this ordinance in the appropriate space in Section 2 hereinabove.

that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing
ordinance, being Ordinance No. 88-846 passed first reading on September 6, 1988, was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and
regularly held on the 20th day of September, 1988, and that the same was passed and adopted by
the following roll call vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Anderson, Dewitt, Muise, Mitoma and Calas
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR PROPOSED
DESIGN OVERLAY DISTRICT
All that real property in the City of Carson, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, within the following described
boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Carson
Street , 100 feet wide,as same existed on July 18, 1988, with
the westerly line of that certain Southern Pacific Railroad
right of way, 170 feet wide, said westerly line being a line
parallel with and 270 feet westerly, measured at right
angles, from the westerly line of Alameda Street , 90 feet
wide, as same existed on said date; thence northerly along
said parallel line to the southerly line of Dominguez Street,
66 feet wide, as same existed on said date; thence northerly
in a direct line to the intersection of the northerly line
said Dominguez Street with the easterly line of that certain
vacated alley, 15 feet wide, as described in the resolution
recorded on April 23, 1959, as Instrument No. 3805 of
Official Records, in the office of the Registrar-Recorder of
the County of Los Angeles; thence northerly along said -
easterly line to the centerline of that certain vacated 209th
Street, 60 feet wide, as described in said resolution; thence
westerly along said centerline to the westerly line of said
certain vacated 209th Street; thence northerly thereon to the
northerly line of 209th Street, 60 feet wide, as same existed
on July 18, 1988; thence westerly along said last mentioned
northerly line and the westerly prolongation thereof to a
line parallel with and 170.94 easterly, measured along the
southerly line of Lot X, Robinson's Subdivision, as shown on
map recorded in Book 60, page 98, of Miscellaneous Records,
in the office of said Registrar-Recorder, from the westerly
line of said Lot X; thence southerly along said last
mentioned parallel line 112.82 feet; thence westerly parallel
with said southerly line of Lot X a distance of 170.94 feet
to said westerly line of Lot X; thence southerly along said
last mentioned westerly line and the southerly prolongation
thereof to' the southerly line of said Dominguez Street , 66
feet wide; thence westerly thereon to the westerly line of
the easterly 15 feet, measured at right angles, of Lot 2,
Block B, Dominguez Colony, as shown on map filed as Clerk's
i File Nap No. 145, Superior Court Case No. 3284, records of
ithe County of Los Angeles; thence southerly along said last
mentioned westerly line to the northerly line of Lot 5 in
said Block B; thence westerly thereon to the westerly line of
the easterly 658.85 feet of said Lot 5, measured along said
northerly line of Lot 5;• thence southerly along said last
mentioned westerly line to said northerly line of Carson
Street; thence easterly thereon to the point of beginning.
