HomeMy Public PortalAbout91-942 ORDINANCE NO. 91-942 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON RELATING TO THE DISPLAY OF MATTER HARMFUL TO MINORS AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Article IV, Chapter 1 of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section 4141 to read as follows: 114141. Display of matter harmful to minors. A. For purposes of this section, the term "matter" and the phrase "matter harmful to minors" shall have the same definitions as those set forth in Section 313 of the Penal Code of the State of California. B. No person shall knowingly display in any place open to the general public, other than a public place from which minors are excluded, any matter which is harmful to minors unless such material is located in blinder racks so that the lower two-thirds of the matter is not exposed to public view.
