AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON AMENDING
THE UNIFORM LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX ORDINANCE
TO PROVIDE CREDIT AGAINST PAYMENT OF SALES
AND USE TAXES IN THE AMOUNT DUE TO THE CARSON
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND AMENDING THE CARSON
MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Article VI, Chapter 1 of the Carson
Municipal Code, the Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Ordinance, is
hereby amended by adding a new Section 6117 thereto to read as
follows:
116117. Credit For Taxes Due to- the Carson
Redevelopment Aggnov. Any person subject to a sales
and use tax under the provisions of this Chapter shall
be entitled to credit against the payment of taxer due
under this Chapter the amount of Bales and use taxes
due to the Carson Redevelopment agency pursuant to
Revenue and Taxation Code Section 7202. 6."
Section 2. Pursuant to Government Code Section
36937 (d) , this Ordinance shall take effect immediately as it
relates to taxes for the usual and current expenses of the City.
Section 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and is hereby directed, within 15 days after
its passage, to cause this Ordinance to be posted in the three
public places specified in Section 2800 of the Carson Municipal
Code for the posting of ordinances and notices and to be ,
published in a newspaper of general circulation published nearest
to the City of Carson, The DAily Breese,
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 30th day of December,
1993 .

that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing
ordinance, being Ordinance No. 93-1025 passed first reading on November 16 , 1993,
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at an adjourned joint meeting
of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 30th day of December, 1993, and that the
same was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
