HomeMy Public PortalAbout19320509SCMeetingcustomers on the island, and having had its plans in this conec- tion presented for official consideration we beg to heartily en- dorse them and to urge the Public Service Commission of the State of Georgia to issue the requiredofficial order accepting and putting such new rates into effect as promptly as possible in order that the consumers of electricity of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, may receive the benefits of these lowered rates this season and thereafter; in this connection we further wich to ex- press our appreciation of the fact that the service rendered by the Savannah Electric Company had teen a very material factor in the de *elopment of Savannah Beach, and has lead to the con - structipn of many homes there, and that the lowering of its rates will further promote the development of the Town, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be sent by the Clerk of Council to the Honorable Chairman of the Public Service Commission, of the State of Ga. There being no further business Council adjourned subject to the call of the Mayor. The following resolution was read, and in which regrets were ex- pressed at the lost of the retireing Councilmen Espy, walthour and Horovitz, Mr. Cann made.a motion that it be adopted, it was . seconded by Mr. Logan, and the motion passed unaminioualy.
