ORDINANCE NO. 98-1139
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA,
REGULATING FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT AND AMENDING
THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Code Amendment. Article VIII (Building Regulations: Sewage and
Waste) of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby amended to add a new Chapter 6 to read
as follows:
"CHAPTER 6 FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT
8600. Adoption of Floodplain Management Ordinance. The "Floodplain
Management Ordinance for Non-Coastal Communities, AR Zone NSFHA," prepared
by the California Department of Water Resources and modified to meet local
conditions by the Carson Engineering Services Department, is hereby incorporated
herein by reference as if fully set forth below and shall be known and may be cited as
the Floodplain Management Ordinance of the City of Carson.
A copy of the "Floodplain Management Ordinance for Non-Coastal
Communities, AR Zone NSFHA," has been deposited in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Carson and shall be at all times maintained by the Clerk for
use and examination by the public.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June, 1998.

Ordinance No. 98-1139, passed first reading on May 19, 1998, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on June 2, 1998,
and that the same was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
