ORDINANCE NO. 00-1194
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA,
REPEALING THE FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE
AND AMENDING THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The Floodplain Management Ordinance (Ordinance No. 98-1139)
was adopted in response to the inclusion of a portion of the City of Carson within the AR
Flood Zone as determined by the Federal Emergency Management Administration ("FEMA").
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has now completed remedial work to the Los Angeles
River levee system, and FEMA has removed all portions of the City of Carson from the AR
Flood Zone designation. This action eliminates the need for the Floodplain Management
Ordinance.
Section 2. Code Amendment. Chapter 6 (Floodplain Management) of Article VIII
(Building Regulations—Sewage and Waste) of the Carson Municipal Code is hereby
repealed in its entirety.

whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing ordinance, being
Ordinance No. 00-1194, passed first reading on April 4, 2000 was duly and regularly adopted by the City
Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 18th day of
April, 2000, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
