Lockport Street Attendees: Tim Stetenfeld, Brian Davis, Greg Schaefer, Steve Preze, Michael Blaylock, Pat Harbour, and Harold Oliver. Also: Brian Murphy, Michael Garrigan, Jonathan Proulx, Rick Kaczanko, and Amy De Boni. Chairman Stetenfeld called the meeting to order at 7:36 a.m. Village Administrator Brian Murphy took roll call. Michael Konrad, John Harper, Troy Strange, and Mike Paris were absent. Public Comments: None. Business Meeting Motion was made by Michael Blaylock, second by Steve Preze, to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2011 Meeting. Motion passed (7 ‐0). Chairman Stetenfeld: Encouraged everyone to attend the Emerging Trends and Retail Opportunities program on April 6 th at the Village Hall. Commented on the courses offered by the Illinois Small Business Development Center at JJC and that many of the offerings are free of charge. Provided a synopsis of the Task Force’s activities to date. Jon Proulx introduced the final sections of the proposed Business Retention & Expansion Plan for discussion including Doing Business in Plainfield and the Implementation Framework. The Task Force then discussed and provided feedback on these sections of the plan outline. The Task Force discussed an inventory of local businesses as the first step in the retention interview process. The Task Force also discussed a brief list of potential questions for retention interviews. The Task Force will review a draft of the Business Retention and Expansion Plan as well as the business inventory list at the next meeting on April 13, 2011. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 a.m.
