Dear Ms. Basel:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your Evaluation and Appraisal Notification Letter, which was due
on July 1, 2023 and received by the Department on July 5, 2023.
Please note that your proposed comprehensive plan amendments based'on your Evaluation and
Appraisal should be transmitted to the Department by July 5, 2024, within one year of your
notification, pursuant to Section 163.3191(2), Florida Statutes. The amendments are subject to the
State Coordinated Review Process as outlined in Section 163.3184(4), Florida Statutes. Please
also be aware that Chapter 2023-031 Laws of Florida also requires that updates to the required
elements and optional elements of the comprehensive plan must be processed in the same plan
amendment cycle.

Consistent with the requirements of Section 163.3191, Florida Statutes, please accept this letter
as the Evaluation and Appraisal Notification Letter for the Town of Gulf Stream.
As required by the referenced statute, the Town has reviewed its Comprehensive Plan and has
determined that amendments are necessary to reflect changes in the state requirements,
including providing for a io-year planning period. During the upcoming year, the Town will
prepare and transmit amendments to its Comprehensive Plan to address these requirements.
