I, the Secretary of the Midpeninsula Regional Park District,
hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolu—
tion duly adopted by the Board of Directors of the District by the
above vote at a meeting thereof duly held and called on the above

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT CALLING
ELECTION AND REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code §5530 required that an
election be held within the territory of the Midpeninsula
Regional Park District at the time of the general election on
November 5, 1974, for the election of the five (5) directors
of the District, and
WHEREAS, a general statewide election will be held
within Santa Clara County on that date;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Midpen-
insula Regional Park District does resolve as follows:
1. Pursuant to Public Resources Code @5530, the Board
of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Park
District does call an election in the District for
the election of five (5) members of the Board of
Directors of the District on Tuesday, November 5,
1974.
2. That said election be consolidated with the state-
wide general election to be held in this county on
said date.
3. That the election precincts, polling places, voting
booths, and election officials in each of the pre-
cincts shall be the same as provided for the state-
wide election on said date.
4. That the Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara County
is hereby authorized and instructed to canvass the

returns of said election for the office of members
of the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Re-
gional Park District and is requested to certify
the results of said election to the Board of Direc-
tors of the District.
5. The boundaries of the wards or subdivisions, for
the purpose of electing Directors, shall be the same
as those established by the Santa Clara County Board
of Supervisors for the election at which the District
was formed in November, 1972.

NOTICE OF ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 5529 of
the Public Resources Code of the State of California, that
a general district election to be consolidated with the
Statewide General Election will be held in the MIDPENINSULA
REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT on the 5th day of November, 1974 to
choose a successor for five (5) elective offices of the
District.
The offices for which candidates may be nominated are:
Five (5) offices of Director, elected by ward or subdistrict.
The boundaries of the five wards to be filled have been
established and described by the Board of Directors of the
District in Resolution No. 74-18 adopted August 14, 1974. A
ward boundary map is available for inspection at the Dis-
trict office at 745 Distel Drive, Los Altos, California.
Generally the wards include the following areas:
Ward 1 - Saratoga, Monte Sereno, Los Gatos, portions
Cupertino.
Ward 2 - Los Altos Hills, portions Los Altos, Cuper-
tino and Sunnyvale.
Ward 3 - Northern portion Sunnyvale.
Ward 4 - Mountain View, portions Los Altos.
Ward 5 - Palo Alto, Stanford.
The qualifications for each office are that the person
be a resident and elector of the District and of the ward he
or she proposes to represent.
Official nominating petitions for eligible candidates
desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be ob-
tained at the office of the Secretary of the District at the
above -mentioned address. Said nominating petitions may be
filed with the Secretary no earlier than August 19, 1974 and
not later than 5 P.M. on September 6, 1974.
