A special meeting of Council. was bell today at 4:00 p.m. and was
attended by Mayor Gamblr, who presided, and Councilmen Logan,Cann
and Sharpley.
Mr. Cann made. amotion that the following Ordinance to make it un-
lawful to use any street of Savannah Beach, Tybee Isl_ana, for the
storage or uccupancy of any mate ±ial, or for other pin poses, this
was seconded by F, +r. Logan and the same paz eed unanmeusly;

AN ORDINANCE to make it _inl .wfu1 to use any street
of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, for the storage or occupancy of any
material,or for other purposes.
SECTION 1. BE IT OFDAII 7fl by the Mayor and Council
menof Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, in regular meeting assembled,
that from and after the passage of this act, it shall be unlawful for
any person,firm or corporation to place or put upon any street within
the coporate limits of the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island,
Georgia, any material of anyncharacter, all strecte of said munici-
pality shall atjall times be kept open and unobstructed and safe for
traffic.
SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAI L D by the authority
aforesaidthat any person guilty of violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall, upon conviction before the police court of
said municipality, be punished by a fine not to exceed .$ 100.00 or
a sentence ofimprisonment not to exceed thirty days, either of both,
or any part of either or both, in the discretion of the Judge pre -
siding in said Court.
SECTION 3. BE IT FURTH R 0FDAITi D by the authority
aforesaid that any ordinance or pert of ordinance in conflitct here-
with be and the same is hereby repealed.
.Mr Logan made a motion that te following Ordinance to provide cer-
tain traffic regulations upoi the streets of Savannah Beach, Tybee Is-
land be adopted, this was seconded by 4.,Rr.Cann and the meti,n passed
unanamously;

AN ORDINANCE entitled an ordinance to provide for cer-
tain traffic regulations to be observed :.upon t1-1, streets in Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, and for Ehther purposes.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Councilmen
of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, in regular meeting assembled, th,_ t
from andafter the passage of this ordinance it shall be unleerful for
any vehicle of any character to hove or progress along the streets
hereinafter mentioned, within the time hereinafter stated, except as
herein specified; that is to say no auotmobile or other vehicle, te-
tween the hours of 3:00 o'clock p.m. and 5:00 o'clock p.m., Eastern

Stardard time, om Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and /or holidays,
shall proceed on SIXTEENTH STREET, asddelineated upon the map of
Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, except to the east from Butler Avenue
to the Strand, and likewise, between the hours herein designated, no .
auotmobile or other vehicle on the days herein specified shall proceed
along Seventeenth street except west from the Str nd to Butler Avenues
and futther-no automobile or other vehicle shall proceed along.nutier
Avenue from First Street to Seventeenth Street, during the hours herein
designated on the dyas herein stated, except to the South.
SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the authority
aforesaid that any person guilty of violating any of the provisions of
this ordiancne shall, upon conviction before the police court of said
iuiicipality, be punished by a fine not to exceed 100.00 or a sentence
of imprisonment not to exceed thirty days, either or both, or any part
of tither or both, in the discretion of the Judge presiding in said
Court.
SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the authority
aforesaid that any ordinance or part of ordinance in conflict here-
with be and the same is hereby repealed.
Mr. Cann made a motion that the following ordinance establishing park-
ing spaces on the Stand and.charging a fee therefor be adopted, this
wasseconded by Wr. Sharpley and the motion passed unanamously;
ORDINANACE
AN ORDINANCE to establish parking spaces upon certain
portions ofthe public domain existing between Foutteenth and Eighteenth
Streets and now generally known as the Strand in the municipality of
Swann Beach, Tybee Island, and for thther purposes.
SECTIOI' A.. BE IT ORDAINED bybthe Mayor and Councilmen
of Savannah Beach, Tyb,_e Island, in regular meeting assembled, acting
under authority contained in Section 8 of the Acts of the General
Assem1^1e of Georgia, approved August 26th 1931, that that portionof
the pubitcdomain generally known and? -shown on the map of Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, as the Strand and extending from the North line
of Fourteenth Street, extended, to the South line of Fifteenth Street,
extended, and form the North line of Sixteenth Street, extended, to
the South line of Seventeenth Street, extended, be and the same is
hereby set aside for the parking of automobiles and other vehicles. .
SECTION 2. BE IT ORDAINED by the authority aforesaid,
thatportions hereby set asd&e,as hereinbefore described, for parking
spaces comprise all of the land lying east of the Strand between.
Fourteenth ftiomeak and Fifteenth Streets, if extended, and between
Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets, if extended.
SECTION 3. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE authority aforesaid
that no person or persons in occupation of for in use of any automobile
or vehicle shall use any portion of the spaces herein designated unless
_- and before there shall be paid to said Savannah Beach, Tybee Island,
the sum of 25% in cash4 which said sum for the use and occupation of
said space for for any such automobile or vehicle shall not extend
beyond midnight of the day upon which said fee of 25' is paid.

SECTION 4. BE IT ORDAIAD by the authority aforesaid that
the space occupied or used by any such automobile it vehicle shall be
such as may 'be,. designated by police officers of said Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island, and the occupant of such space shall remove the automobile
or other vehicle occupying such space from any such space occupied from
time to time, as may be directed by such police officers of said munim
c.ipality.
SECTION 5. BE IT ORDAINED by the authority aforesaid that
any person owning or controlling any automobile or other vehicle
occupying a parking space, who shall be guilty of violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction before the police
court of said municipality, be punished by a fine not to exceed
100.00 or a sentence of imprisonment not to exceed thirty days,
Either or both, orany part of either or both,in the discretion of
of the Judge presiding in said court.
SECTION 6. BE IT FURTHER ORDIANED by the authority
aforesaid that all laws in conflict herewith be and they are hereby
repealed.
The three above mentioned ordinances were placed on first reading
and on agreement of Council were read a second time,and passed.
Mr. Cann reported that he had had a talk with Mr Tiedeman relative
to the County continuing to feed the live stock owned by the Town
and that he wpule handle the matter and see what could be done.
There being no further business Council adjourned subject to the
call: of the Mayor.
