A) CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL , PLEDGE Approval of the Workshop Minutes o f November 8 , 2004. 1) PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP CEMETERY NEEDS The Village has received a request from the Plainfield Township to incorporate in the long term land use planning the need for another Township Cemetery. Township representatives will be available at the meeting. Letter request attached. 2 ) DISCUSSION ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Data has been received from the School District regarding the numbers of students generated by multi -family units. That report is attached. 3 ) RIVERMIST DEVELOPMENT The developer is seeking Board direction on a concept for the property located on the west side of the intersection of Route 59 and Rolf Road and on the north side of the DuPage River. The developer is requesting direction from the Board on several items such as propose d modifications t o the DuPage River, leniency from stormwater regulations, and density to help develop a marina. Such engineering issues are time consuming and likely to take years to complete satisfactorily. Does the Board's vision encompass this type and scop e of development at our far south side? 4 ) IL. ROUTE 59 CO NCEPTUAL STREETSCAPING Transystems Corporation and Hayden Bulin Larson are to present an update to the IL. Rt. 59 Conceptual Streetscape Plan. The Board will be asked for direction with rega rds to several aspects of the design. The direction for the Board will be formalized and an official request will be made to IDOT should the Board so desire. 5 ) LOCKPORT STREET REDEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Staff requests direction with regards to th e formation of a committee to provide a Village developed concept for the future of Lockport Street from James Street to IL. Route 59. The committee as proposed would include a Board member, Planning Commission member, several staff members, and various residents and business owners.
