A) CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL /PLEDGE  Approval of the Workshop Minutes for Monday , September 26 . 1) PLAINFIELD TELEVISION G ROUP Seeking Board direction with regard to policies and procedures for Channel Six, the Village’s Community cable television channel. Additionally, staff is seeking board direction with regard to a request for funding received from the Plainfiel d Television Group (PTG). PTG is requesting approximately $10,000 to construct a rudimentary studio and provide for supplies and incidental expenses in order to produce programming for broadcast on Channel Six. 2) EMPLOYER -ASSISTED HOUSING (EAH ) PROGRAM Staff has invited the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) to present information on the Employer -Assisted Housing (EAH) Program. This program (1) keeps local businesses competitive by helping them attract and retain talented employees; (2) helps employees by providing home -buying assistance and reducing commute times; (3) helps communities by contributing to the reduction of traffic by locating housing closer to jobs, and helping to boost housing attainability, particularly for f irst -time buyers; and (4) contributes toward these goals for modest costs by leveraging state matching funds and tax deductions. 3 ) WALGREENS ARCHITECTURAL MODIFICATION The applicant is proposing modifications to the Walgreen's plan that was approved in May. The facility is proposed for the southwest corner of Route 59 and Route 126 and is identified in the TENG Plan which was incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan. The Board had identified the importance of outstanding design and architecture at this corner as it is an entrance to the downtown area. The applicant wishes to know if the changes still meet the Board's vision for the corner. 4 ) WILCOX DEVELOPMENT The applicant is seeking input on a proposed 96 townhome u nit development on approximately 22 acres located on Route 59 just south of the Parkview Meadow development. The Village Board has previously approved a final plat for 39 single - family homes on the same property. B) ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEFERRED ITEMS Open Space Referendum – C.
