A) CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL/PLEDGE ___Fay ___Lamb ___Manning ___Collins ___Racich ___Dem ent____Waldorf B) EXECUTIVE SESSION We are seeking a motion to adjourn to executive session as permitted under the Open Meetings Act Section (2) (c) (1) "to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of emp loyees or legal counsel" to reconvene at 7:00 p.m. C) Approval of the Minutes Committee of the Whole Workshop and Executive Session of May 8, 2006. D) PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS E) TRUSTEES COMMENTS F) INSTANT RUNOFF VOTING (7:00 -7:30 p.m.) Mr. Tim Ta cker has requested time to address the Board on the concept of Instant Runoff Voting (IRV). IRV is a method of determining elections. At its core is the premise that a candidate who wins public office should have a majority of the popular vote. Mr. Ta cker will make a brief presentation and then be available for any questions that the board may have. The purpose of this discussion is to determine if support exists to investigate the possibility of implementing this procedure for deciding elections w ithin the Village in the future. G) ROUTE 30 TIF (7:30 – 8:00 p.m.) Hemmer Companies is developing the southeast corner of Renwick Road and Route 30. They are interested in the potential of incentives including a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Distric t. The Plainfield Economic Partnership has recommended that the Village study the potential for a TIF district. Board discussion and direction is necessary on whether further study should be conducted and the feasibility of a resolution regarding ince ntives for the Hemmer project.
